Hugh Jackman was on Good Morning America yesterday talking about his new Broadway play, The River. One of the interesting parts of the interview was about how his team and producer are making sure pricing allows anyone that wants to see the show will not have to worry about scalpers. I thought it was very clever, and I wanted to share it with you. Check out the video.
I have read the play and am looking forward to watching The River on Broadway! In the last few years, Hugh Jackman has been giving notice on his versatility, both on film and stage. On stage, he has shown how good he was in both musicals and dramatic theatre. Much like how he surprised people in A Steady Rain ( Broadway) and Prisoners ( Hollywood), his new challenge in The River is to engage audiences in another piece of drama. Michael Riedel called The River as part Pinter and part Hitchcock – that sounds exciting, enough especially with Hugh Jackman to deliver the drama on stage.
